This could be a spectacularly sucky situation.

My supervisor just called me. He thinks he is going to need me to sub two classes on Saturday. He said he knows that will have me teaching seven days straight. He also said he has heard through the grape vine about my Harry Potter obsession and knew I wanted off this Saturday so I could read the book. He has one other possible solution but he is not expecting it to work. If it does, I'm off the hook. If it doesn't, I'm working Saturday.

EDIT: It is official. I am working on Saturday. Damn and blast!

That so seriously sucks. I am sorry. Hopefully whatever his backup plan is works.

Thanks. I've got my fingers crossed, but I'm not counting on it.

Oh no, that's not good news at all. I'll keep my fingers crossed that the outside chance from your supervisor comes in.

I'm still hoping. I suppose some might see it as pathetic that I'm spending my day off chanting "Please, oh please, oh please, oh please let me be off on Saturday so I can read the book," but I can't say I care at this point.

I am doing my best to avoid spoilers, real or hoaxes in general. I'm still hoping I'll be able to read the book Saturday in the wee hours of the morning before my class. I guess we shall see.

Oh. That does suck! I hope you can at least race home and get some uninterrupted reading in afterwards.

I've got a plan that should let me read the book Saturday. Here's hoping everything works the way I think it will and nothing else goes wrong.

Has he also heard through the grapevine that you'll turn into one demented woman if you don't get to read the book when you want to? Honestly, I can't believe that, Rachael. This is when I really wish I could send some magic your way. I'll try crossed fingers...?

I wouldn't mind a time turner right about now. I'd give it to the teacher whose classes I'm subbing and tell her to use it so she can do two classes at once. Then I'd snuggle up my book and all would be right with the world. Unfortunately, I've heard rumors that a group of crazy kids running around the MoM a few years back broke all the time turners so I think I'm stuck.

Boo! I'm sorry, that's really sucky!

It is really sucky. Especially when you throw in that I am not feeling well and could use some sleep. This summer may be the death of me.

Don't die before you read Harry Potter! Well, preferably, don't die at all:( Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. I hope you're better soon.
