Tonks - Confused

I love Natalia Tena

There is a new interview available with Natalia Tena, a.k.a. Tonks. I love her. I really do. Quotage from the interview:

I didn’t like some of the things they did at the beginning, to be honest. I really wish she had had pink hair like in the book. They didn’t want to do that because pink would be associated with (Dolores) Umbridge, who is evil. They really didn’t take many risks.

At the beginning I really looked like a punk … and they kind of toned (it) down a bit. And I wasn’t happy with that because in my mind I was thinking “You know what, that’s not what kids are going to expect.

At least someone gets it, even if she didn't get her way. What kind of dumb reason is "pink would be associated with Umbridge" for taking away Tonks' signature hair?

EDIT: Oh yeah. My source for the interview is here.

That's so stupid, too, because I'm convinced that JKR actually did intentionally have Tonks pink and Dolores pink because of the link they both have with Remus. Of course I base everything around Remus. But seriously. Pink is significant in the story.

I now love Natalia Tena more than I already did. It's so reassuring that she wanted it to be like the book, too. *sigh*

I absolutely loved this when I saw it. I really don't think there is any other word for it. The actress trying her best to get it to fit canon makes me warm and fuzzy, even if she was over-ruled.

I do wish she'd said something about how Remus was supposed to be in the Advance Guard flirting with her!

I suppose we can't have everything. She seems very focused on the physical depiction here. Perhaps she accepted the lack of screen time and just wanted to make the bit that is there as true to the book as possible?
