12 Days of Christmas by Fred and George Weasley

Tags: , , ,
I decided to take a break from my papers (I can't work all the time kileaiya, though perhaps I should work some more of the time) and work on my metamorfic_moon Christmas fic for a little bit. I'm using the 12 Days of Christmas in my story and have written a complete wizarding version. For some unknown reason, I kept wanting to use "five dungbombs," which doesn't really work for something your true love would give to you. I left it out of the "real" version, but I was so set on "five dungbombs," I had to write the Fred and George version as well.

The 12 Days of Christmas by Fred and George Weasley

On the twelfth day of Christmas, the Weasley Twins gave to me:
12 Whiz-bangs blasting
11 Ears extending
10 Teacups biting
9 Cards Exploding
8 Yo-yos screaming
7 Fancies fainting
6 Pastilles puking
5 Dungbombs
4 Canary Creams
3 Fanged frisbees
2 Fake wands
And a joke shop in Diagon Alley.

See what you have to put up with just because I wanted five dungbombs?

Now that is out of my system, back to the fic for another 20 minutes then back to real work.
Feeling: silly
Exploring: couch
Listening: 12 Days of Christmas - John Denver and the Muppets

What's Taters, Precious?

You are beyond genius. And it is fang-ed frisbees, right?

Thanks :)

Something like that. I tried to get the beat right for all of them but that one, the Weasley twins in the beginning, and the joke shop in Diagon Alley don't quite make it. You just have to pretend.

A true tribute to Fred and George!!

Thanks :) I had loads of fun going through the lexicon's entires for their joke shop and jokes in general to find all this.

Oh Fred and George are so silly. Great song:)

Glad you like it. Fred and George are awesome!

Fred and George are probably my second favorite characters.

I just want you to get it done so you can goof of here, you know. =P

Hee, that is awesome! Good luck with your Meta fic. :)

I know. I really wish it was done so I could goof off more and without the cloud of worry hovering over me. But there is a difference between wanting it to be done and wanting to do it.

Thanks :)

You've got time. You should do another Christmas fic!

Papers = TEH EVIL. But I understand the lack of desire to actually work on them.

Oh foo, my first one wasn’t even that good; if I attempted another I am sure it would be drivel. Plus, I am being lazy. =P
bratty_jedi at 3:21 am on 18 December 2006 (UTC) (Link)
EVIL doesn't begin to describe the way I feel about them at the moment. I still haven't figured out how I'm supposed to write four 20 page essays in five days next semester. I guess I should worry about that after I finish with these.

You're first one was cute and funny! Lazy is a valid excuse in my book but your writing being drivel certainly is not.

I am determined not to let your fussing about evil papers scare me away from college, I really am. =P

Okay, okay, we'll go with lazy then. Thanks by the way. :)

You really shouldn't let my fussing scare you off. You have to remember, I'm a PhD student. When I was an undergrad, I was bored most of the time because I just didn't have enough work to keep me busy. A full time load is 12 hours and I was taking 18-20 most semesters. Even in my MA program, I was taking a full load (9 hours for grad students) and working two part-time jobs on campus and had no problems keeping up with everything.

Do you have plans for a major/career?
kileaiya at 4:08 am on 18 December 2006 (UTC) (Link)
Yeah, I figured it was mostly because you are in a doctorate program. :)

I’m trying to decide whether I want to go the pre-law program route of the criminal justice program route, they’re both sufficient for the law program later on (or so I am told, I need to do further research and talk with a college counsellor). I am leaning towards the criminal justice program because it has forensic classes.

My roomie is a first-year law student and she majored in biology as an undergrad. I wouldn't suggest that route if law school is your goal, but I guess that just shows you can do whatever you want and still get into law school. Crim. Just. could be good. At my undergrad, it was one of the degrees most of the jocks went for because it could be very easy (or very difficult) depending on which classes you took and how seriously you took it. Of course, history was one of the other blow-off majors :)
