Good Day! Good Day! Good Day!

Tags: ,
I had a very long day. I had a headache for most of it, not helped by the endless runaround I was getting from the apartment complex about the AC and the drive home from work and to the grocery store in a thunderstorm. Now the headache is gone and I am just completely drained.

I am also currently eating cherries in a nice cool apartment with a working AC so I am at peace with the world. It really doesn't take much to make me happy.

I am happy to hear that your A/C is working now and that you finally got your cherries. It is always nice to be able to enjoy a well earned treat. What do you think the hurricane season is going to look like for us down here in Texas this year? The weather people seem to think it will be bad. I can only hope that it does not strike hard while the girls are here. I can just see their mother panicking now and calling my cell every fifteen minutes while we are trying to evacuate or something. Not to mention my husband and his "I'm not going through that crap again this year. I'll just stay here and wait it out". I'll tell you what. If Rita had hit Galveston, all of Houston would have been in deep shit. And us living where we do, if it had been a catagory four or five, would have been flattened. But then again, spending almost 24 hours in a packed car in gridlock in 121 degree weather with two dying cats was not an experience I wish to repeat either. Of course, when we finally turned around and went home, we found out we had only gotten about 30 minutes away from home at the most. Boy, did that suck. I really do not want to have to put the two girls through something like that, but what can you do ya know? It would be either evacuate or sit on our asses and hope for the best.

Yeah, I guess you are off the hook for being my hostage.

I wonder if I could call out of work because I was being a hostage....

I think that sounds like a good excuse. Of course, I would probably then have to call in absent from work and school for several years while I sit in a jail cell after being arrested for holding you hostage. Maybe not a good plan.

Oh, Justin let us off at 5:00 again yesterday. This is the second Friday in a row he has done that and he didn't even give us any homework to make up for it this time. He also keeps saying that our group is ahead of schedule. I am hoping he will let us out early again next Friday. If he does and I drive to work and have a change of clothes with me (I'm not going to the aquarium in my work clothes), I could leave directly from work and possibly be at your place by 6:30 or 7:00 at the latest next Friday. Want to have a go at trying to make it to the aquarium?

Awesome, hopefully he'll be nice and let you go early. I definitely want to try to make it to the aquarium. Do you care if Ron tags along? I might see if he's up for a trip to the aquarium if you're ok with that.

There are a few transportation choices available to us. We can go with you driving to my place and me driving to the Inner Harbor. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the Inner Harbor from my house.

You can take the metro to Silver Spring (I'll stay at work) and I can then drive us to the Inner Harbor from there. The metro site claims that the metro ride from Bethesda to Silver Spring is around half an hour. I don't know if it's lying or not. It takes about 40 minutes to drive to the Inner Harbor from Silver Spring. Afterwards I can take you to the metro (not sure how long it's open) or take you back to Bethesda.

The third option is that you give me a call when you're all finished with work and ready to leave and we both drive separately to the Inner Harbor. I don't know where you live in Bethesda, but if you just stick "Bethesda" into mapquest it says it's about 46 minutes from Bethesda to the Inner Harbor. This is only if you feel comfortable driving around in Baltimore.

I'm cool with any of the above options. Just let me know what you want to do!
