WOMBAT

Tags: , ,
There's a new WOMBAT at jkrowling.com!

I'll update when I've finished the test but I just wanted to make sure everyone on the flist knows.

*scampers off to miserably fail said test*

EDIT: I took the test. It was much shorter than the first one. On just about every question, I'm certain I could eliminate most choices, usually getting down to two possible answers. Unfortunately, I never had any idea which of the last two options was the correct answer.

For all the Remus fans: I know one of the differences between werewolves and regular wolves is the shape of the snout (per Snape's Worst Memory in OotP). But does anything ever specify what that different shape is?

Thanks for the tip off! Just headed over there to take it, and, like you, I found myself torn between 2 choices on most of them. Probably picked the wrong one on all occasions and I'll get a T.

On the snout front, I don't think it does. For some reason I've got it in my mind that a werewolf's snout is shorter, although I can't think where I might have picked that up.

I randomly guessed on several the first time through and I got an E on that. I'm hoping for similar results this time, but I'm really not sure. Anything passing and I'm all good.

Thanks for letting us know!

I found myself torn on more than one occassion, I just hope I don't get a T.

I know JKR said that failing is possible, but I don't know if that includes T as a possible grade. Either way, I doubt you'll get a T.

Just to check, from best to worst...

Passing grades: O, E, A
Failing grades: P, D, T

Right?

Yeah, that's right.

I doubt anyone would actually get a T, unless they went through and purposefully answered everything with the answer that seems most unlikely. So I should probably say I hope I pass. :D

It's weird that I'm actually nervous about how I did, as if it was a real exam, isn't it?

Once a swot, always a swot, evidently.

Don't worry. You're in good company.

When the first one came out in April, my then roomie and I compared answers, spent days frantically checking for results, etc.

I took it twice last time, just to see if I could improve my score after doing "research" for the more difficult questions. Cheating, I know, but it made no difference. I got an E both times.

I'm worried as well. I just keep imagining Hermione being disappointed in me for not getting an O.

It's tough. You have to look for the silver half-mon handle sticking out on the left-hand side of the desk. Align the key in the middle of the handle with the very tip of the key just touching the desk like you are apart to slide it into the lock. It took me several tries.
