My Plan for Saturday

Tags: , , ,
Tomorrow I shall:

- Drive c. 3 hours (or more depending on traffic and how bad the forecasted rain gets) to the Washington DC area. Listen to a BBC radio program (or more than one) on the trip.

- Spend c. 4 to 5 hours at Brickfair, the US's biggest Lego convention, looking at all the lovely displays and trying not to spend too much money.

- Go to a board / card / dice / other table top games store that the interwebs tells me is a couple of miles away from the location of the Lego convention. Again, try not to spend too much money.

- Drive c. 3 hours home. Again, BBC radio on the trip.

- Collapse. Or start playing with goodies bought if I fail miserably at the "Try not to spend too much money" aspect of all this.

I'm super-duper excited about my mini excursion! It is just a stupid day trip, but one that will let me indulge multiple of my hobbies and geeky interests and just get away from the same-old routine for a few hours. I only started thinking about doing this on Tuesday or Wednesday and just decided today that I'm going (unless I wake up sick or something). I've programmed the addresses into my GPS and printed directions to everywhere from Google Maps, just to be on the safe side. Now to pick the BBC radio programs for the trip...

Yay! :)

That sounds like a fun plan! I hope you have a nice day trip! It's always nice to get out of the routine and do things you like for a bit. :)

Lego convention sounds fantastic (we could hold one in our loft!) And games shops are always fun. Have a good day!
