Rachael's Week in BBC Radio Vol. 45 and 46

Still behind and a bit crazy in my life so here's two weeks of downloading (the week just ending and next week) again and nothing of listened. I am still listening to the Comedy Panel shows as they come in, but that's about it.

Downloading 1 to 7 December:

One-Shots from Last Week

Mother of Him (The Wire)
Radio Play about a woman who's son is on trial for rape.

Father Brown: The Secret Garden (Afternoon Drama)
Father Brown is a detective created by G. K. Chesterton. Dramatization of one of the many stories.

Angel Maker (Saturday Drama)
Story of a young un-wed mother Jewish immigrant in London in the 1950s. Sounds great!

In the Depths of Dead Love (Drama on 3)
A banished poet in ancient China, played by Richard E. Grant.

Poirot: Death in the Clouds
It's an Agatha Christie Poirot. Five Little Pigs will be on next week.

Daily Multi-Episode Programs from Last Week

Paupers and Pig Killers (2 series)
Series based on the actual diary of a 19th-century reverend.

The Toff on the Farm
Dramatization of a 1950s mystery novel.

Weekly Multi-Episode Programs that Started Last Week

Sitcom about a nineteenth-century publisher.

Bird Island
New sitcom about a scientist in the Antarctic and his sense of isolation there.

Delve Special Series 2
Delve Special is an old spoof series starring Stephen Fry. It is making fun of news investigating and reporting. I've got series 1 but haven't listened to it yet.

Stanislaw Lem - Solaris
Dramatization of a science fiction novel about communicating with aliens.

Comedy Panel Shows for Both Weeks

I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue and The News Quiz are each in the midst of a new series.
Act Your Age and Heresy are running random repeats.

Downloading 8 to 14 December:

John Wyndham - Chocky
Science fiction story about a little boy with an imaginary friends who isn't perhaps imaginary.

Winter Exercise (Saturday Drama)
Radio play mixing drama and documentary about the reviving of the Cold War in the 1980s, based on government records recently released.

The Morpeth Carol (Afternoon Drama)
Story about a little boy who leaves his problematic home on Christmas Eve and runs into a wrecked sleigh and extremely dangerous Santa.

Daily Multi-Episode Programs

Robert Easby - Oneira
Sci-fi series about a museum guard taking on a tour of the universe by a man from a painting.

Weekly Multi-Episode Programs Starting this Week

The Richest Man in Britain
Sitcom about a musician who invested in all the tech companies that made it big and ended up extremely wealthy with no real idea what to do.

The World As We Know It
Old sitcom about friends ho wake up and realize they are the last people alive.

Believe It! Series 2
Electric Ink Series 2
Elis James's Pantheon of Heroes Series 3
All three of these are ones where I've got the first series and they sound good, but I haven't listened to series 1 so I'm just grabbing the next ones in the hope that I'll like the first one.

Anything good y'all listened to recently or looking forward to next week?
