Cumberbatch ships Ford/Cumberbatch? j/k

Tags: ,
Apparently Harrison Ford and Benedict Cumberbatch were on the Graham Norton Show recently. I haven't watched it and doubt I will as I rarely watch talk shows, but I did see this little article about it which contained the following:
“When I met you in LA at a party we talked and I made a complete idiot of myself,” Cumberbatch told Ford when the pair were reunited on Graham Norton’s sofa.

“You were very nice but I said, ‘I am a really, really big fan, I used to fantasise about you…’ What I meant to say was I used to fantasise about being Hans Solo and Indy. You took it very well and said, ‘It takes all sorts!’”

c. 15-year-old Rachael had a massive crush on Ford and was completely obsessed with everything he was in. 31-year-old Rachael doesn't really do the obsessive fangirl crush on a celebrity anymore but does enjoy the work of some actors more than others and has a few actors who will tip the balance on a project from "Maybe, but not sure." to "Yeah, I'll see that." and Cumberbatch is at the moment the top of that list and would probably be a candidate for an old-school 15-year-old Rachael celebrity crush were 31-year-old Rachael to do that. So, yeah, that whole exchange gave me a smile and took me back a bit to 15-year-old Rachael.

PS I'm just going to assume the "Hans Solo" was a typo by the person transcribing and that Cumberbatch didn't actually say that and does, in fact, know that the character is "Han Solo." I don't want to risk shattering this illusion so I definitely will not be watching the video.

HANS SOLO!!! Crying XD

Harrison Ford used to be the one "old guy" I'd go for. Maybe he still is...
I love reading stories like this, where the people, we admire are just like us and embarrass themselves in front of people they admire.

It really is awesome when celebrities do the whole star struck thing themselves.

Also, I was dead serious about not having a crush on Cumberbatch, but I think he's trying to make me have one. He did an Ask Me Anything on Reddit. As part of an answer to things he looks forward to the most when returning home he said "a whisky, the fire and a good book" and as part of an answer to what he'd want on a desert island he said "a kindle with a never ending memory of books."

Is it wrong that all it takes to turn my head is a man who loves to read?
