Audio Book Fans

AudioGo, the BBC Radio distributor among other things, has an announcement up at their main site right now about the coming merger with DownPour. It doens't actually say anything yet but to try to entice people over to the new system, they've got a code for any DownPour audiobook from $6.95. Go to this page for the code.

I used it to get the complete unabridged full cast reading of World War Z for $9 less than the normal price. I've read the book and seen the film (not much overlap between the two) but I've heard the audiobook is amazing and the best possible version of the story. I also debated the full cast reading of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, which is way more expensive so would have been a better deal, but I've got that as a physical book and an ebook while I don't already own any version of World War Z. I also think the nature of World War Z's storytelling style, with multiple stories and multiple point of view characters or even narrators would make for a better full cast reading than American Gods more traditional linear narrative from one primary point of view.
