Reading outside

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood

Remember my whole, "I've been dying but it's going to rain Friday and bring down the pollen count for the weekend so I'm going to be outside!" post? As hoped, today was glorious!! Here's roughly my schedule of activities:

7:30 - 8:30am: Usual morning stuff of tea, meds, and internet
8:30 - 9:00am: Dressed, bit more meds, ate two hardboiled eggs
9:00am - 12:00pm: Park to play on the swings! Running then walking in the woods! More swinging at the park!
12:00 - 1:00pm: Home, shower, and more internet
1:00 - 2:00pm: Realized running/walking demands more than two hardboiled eggs. Cinnamon waffles and butter toffee tea
2:00 - 4:00pm: Lounged in hammock in the backyard for reading and digesting of waffles
4:00 - 7:00pm: Back to the woods for more running and walking
7:00 - 8:30pm: Home, shower, quick grocery run for milk and OJ, more internet
8:30 - 9:00pm: Went through the latest issue of Bookmarks magazine that arrived in today's mail to find books to add to my To Read list which already contains more books than I could ever read in my lifetime
9:00pm: This post to be followed by brushing my teeth, night meds, and then off to bed for more reading before turning out the light in an hour or so (exciting Saturday night, I know, but all the running / walking after nothing means I'm tired!)

My nose was running frequently through the outside bits and I had a bit of a cough off-and-on, but I could breathe! I didn't have to use my inhaler at all and could draw in a deep enough breath to feel comfortable with the idea of running and it's been probably close to two weeks since I could say that and a week since I felt I could breathe well enough to even do the weight machines at the gym. Unfortunately, the pollen count is now expected to be back in the red zone tomorrow (not sure why), but that's OK because I need to do laundry and some dissertation work in the morning and early afternoon then I think I'm having some friends over in the late afternoon and into the evening. Plus, the pollen is supposed to be down again on Monday and Tuesday so hopefully I'll be able to work out then, even if it is just running on the indoor track at the gym rather than out in the woods.
Feeling: happy
Exploring: Couch, soon to be bed
