ASOIAF and Chores

Tags: , ,
I finished Book 2: Clash of Kings last night. I enjoyed it more than book 1, I think, and still plan to continue with the series eventually but I still don't have the "OMG! Awesome!" feeling. Oh, well.

Now on to the important thing: Everyone needs to sign up for their weekend chore list. One chore per person and it won't take any one individual too long, we can get everything done, and then everyone can enjoy the rest of the weekend. Chores that need doing are:
  • My laundry
  • My grocery shopping
  • Straighten my office
  • Straighten my living room
  • Vacuum
  • Clean my bathroom
So who wants what?

EDITED Sunday morning: Well, y'all are a bunch of lazy bums. No one signed up for anything! I've struck through the things I did yesterday, but someone else really needs to pick up the slack!
Feeling: lazy
Exploring: Home, somewhat snow bound
Listening: The News Quiz (BBC Radio)

I didn't get an "OMG awesome" from it either. But then I found the second and third books of the Arthur trilogy less inspiring than the first one as well, so ... yeah, clearly the more Hume writes the less I like it :( I have the second book in the Prophecy series sitting on my shelf and I haven't touched it yet but I do plan to, at some point.
As for the chores, I haven't finished my own yet, so you haven't got a hope of getting me roped in to do yours - although I'm impressed you tried!

I used to tear through a series, reading book after book. Not I'll often still do that with contained trilogies but otherwise I prefer to let things linger around in the back of my ind for a bit before moving on to the next installment. I'm not really sure why the change.

I'm impressed you tried!
What are all those trite sayings? Something about "You never know until you try/ask" and "All they can do is say 'No.'" I didn't expect to have any success, but it was worth a shot.
