I just don't get it...

Dear Woman in the Barnes and Noble Bathroom:

Good for you for recognizing that living with you full-time is not in your son's best interest since, as you said, you "need to get myself straight before I can take care of him." Further good for you for still being involved in your son's life and having him every-other weekend, Thursday evenings when the upcoming weekend is not your weekend, and other times as arranged with your ex-husband. Still further good on you for sounding like you are working with your son's father as harmoniously as possible in order to arrange these custody matters rather than being acrimonious and dragging your son into the middle of all this.

All that said, can you please not discuss these matters with a person via your cell phone while you and I are in side-by-side stalls in a public restroom doing the things that one does in a restroom? I really didn't need to know all these details about your life and I certainly didn't need to hear them while I was going about my restroom business.

Thanks much,

Priceless! I wonder if the person on the other end knew what she was doing?

I was in the restroom first, so I suppose it is possible she didn't realize I was there, but that would take an extreme level of self-absorption. Of course that hardly seems out of character with the tiny bit I know about this woman. Even if she thought no one else was listening, I find it odd that she'd want to have the cell phone conversation while she was going to the bathroom. I can't imagine that the person on the other end of the call wanted to listen to her peeing.

EDIT: And I totally just realized that I misread your comment and thought you were talking about if the woman in the stall knew I was there when you were actually talking about if the person on the phone knew the woman in the stall was in a restroom stall. Reading comprehension fail for me.
