Not Sick but Not Well

I'm not sure what is going on with me. I've been really tired the last few days. Thursday and Saturday I got very little sleep. Saturday night I think it was about four hours. Friday and Sunday I was perfectly fine, though. My problems started Monday. I was dead tired and had trouble concentrating.

Tuesday was even worse. I tried jogging some in the morning and couldn't get five steps before I thought I was dying. After I gave up on the jogging, I went to Barnes and Noble and I tried to work on my dissertation and couldn't focus. I even had some hot chocolate with a shot of espresso to wake me up. I never have caffeine so that would usually keep me bouncing off the walls for about 10 hours. It didn't help a bit. I have to do a lot of date "conversions" for my dissertation. Some places were on the Julian calendar and others were on the Gregorian and there was a ten-day difference between the two at the time I'm studying. Plus someplaces switched to the new year on 1 Jan and others on 25 Mar. Whenever I start on a new source I have to figure out what dating system it is using and standardize it so I can make sure I've got my events in the correct order. I do this so often that it takes me about 2 seconds. Yesterday it took me over 15 minutes and I realized I was still wrong because I'd forgot a leap year.  At that point I decided to give up on work for the moment. I went home and took a nap. I usually can't nap unless I'm sick but even with the espresso in me I slept for a couple of hours. I got up hoping to do more work but was still fuzzy headed so I ate dinner, forced myself to just stay awake for a few hours, and went back to bed for the night at 9.

Today I'm more awake than I was yesterday but I'm still not fully with it. There isn't anything wrong with me as far as I know, I'm just exhausted.  I've been exercising more lately so I suppose I could be pushing myself too hard. Fatigue is a symptom of Crohn's, but my Crohn's is generally under control right now. My right ear has been twinging a little but not enough to make me think I have an infection or something and I don't have a fever. I just wish I knew what was wrong or that I could wake up.
