Birthday Wishes and Books Shortlist

Tags: ,

To two of the most amazing women and awesomest friends ever:

Happy Birthday,
mrstater and

Lisa and Kate, you really are both amazing and I'm glad to have you in my life. I haven't been around a much as I'd like the last year or so and I'll try to work on that. I know I'm a day early with the birthday wishes for you, Kate, but since I leave on Friday tomorrow is a laundry and packing day and I'm afraid I'll forget.

In other news, here's the list of books I'm planning to take with me:

Vanity Fair
Master and Margarita
Don Quixote

Anyone want to make a last minute argument for something I have to read and should take instead of one of those?

What's Taters, Precious?

Aw, that is the sweetest birthday note ever! Thank you so much, Rachael, I'm so happy to have you not only as an LJ friend, but to have become awesome RL friends as well. We just have to meet up sometime when you're in Texas!

Hope your trip to Germany is awesome!

I go through the Dallas/Fort Worth area pretty much every year in December and/or January when we go to my grandparents' but I'm always with my folks and haven't ever figured out how to arrange meeting up with you. I'd really love to sometime!

Hope your trip to Germany is awesome!

I doubt I'll get through all of them. I actually expect to get through three. But it is nice to have a couple of extras just in case I get through more and so I can have options to pick from based on my mood at the time.

Aww, thank you Rachael. You're a pretty awesome friend yourself, and I'm so glad that we got the chance to meet in spite of living on different continents! Do you know that I still have a quacking iPhone because of that comment you made when I got it? Every time my phone rings, I think of you, lol. Seriously, though, thank you. :)

I love that you still have the quacking phone! It seriously makes me smile to know you are somewhere out there in the world with your ducky cell phone. :D
