Why must this program hate me?

EDIT: Nevermind. I thought I had tried every version of the program. I went back and tried them all again and the first release finally worked. Why the first one (from 2005) works and the later releases (more recent version from 2007) doesn't is beyond me, but there you have it.

I found a couple of Photoshop Brushes that I want to use. Problem: I have Paint Shop Pro, not Photoshop. The Brushes are in a proprietary file type that only Photoshop can open (.abr). A quick Google informed me that there is a converter that will change the brushes to .png files that I can then play with to my heart's content with my Paint Shop Pro. Multiple webpages all give the exact same advice: use this one really great program to convert it. Problem: I can't get the program to run on my computer. I've tried downloading every version available and can't get any of them to work. Sometimes I get errors about the config files that I can't get to change, sometimes I get errors telling me I don't have .net (which I do but perhaps a too recent one since this converter hasn't been updated in a while), etc. I can't get the stupid program to work and I can't find any solution anywhere on the interwebs that doesn't involve using this same stupid program. Bah humbug!

Any of y'all willing to see if you can get the program to run on your computer so you can convert it and then send me the .png files?
