Movies Meme

Tags: ,
I think I answered as many question with "I don't know" as I did with real answers. Sorry.

1. What movie have you seen the most time in the theater? How many times?
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade has the record by far. I'm pretty sure the final total for that was 9. The closest competitors would be Ever After and Keeping the Faith which only managed three or four showings each, as I recall.

2. What was the last movie you walked out of in the theater?
I don't believe I've ever walked out of the theater, but I could be wrong.

3. What is the first movie you remember seeing in a theater?
I don't remember. I couldn't even begin to hazard a guess.

4. What is your favorite movie soundtrack?
I don't know. I love so many of them. According to Windows Media Player, I have something close to 80 soundtracks currently on my computer and you aren't going to get me to pick a favorite.

5. Have you ever dressed up as a movie character for Halloween? If so, who?
I'm sure I did at least one Disney cartoon character as a kid, but I don't remember who off the top of my head. I did a dance routine once to Under the Sea from Little Mermaid and had a mermaid costume from it that I used for Halloween but I was a generic mermaid not specifically Ariel or any other character from the film. I've dressed up as a Star Wars character for SciFi conventions, but he isn't in the movies.

6. What was the first R-rated movie you ever saw? Were you allowed or did you sneak?
I don't remember. I know I've been buying myself tickets to R rated movies since I was 11 or so and the only time anyone protested was when I was 16. That was for the fourth Lethal Weapon movie. I lied and argued until they let me buy the ticket.

7. Star Wars (orig. trilogy) or Lord of the Rings?
I realize this is a generic meme, but *looks at user name* do you really need to ask me that question? Star Wars, of course!

8. Pacino or DeNiro?
Depends on my mood but more often Pacino

9. Titanic...did it suck or was it great?
It was pretty lame.

10. What's your take on Cassavetes?
I googled the name and I still have no idea.

11. Favorite John Hughes character?
I'm not an especially large fan of Hughes so I've never considered this before. I guess Ferris Bueller because I do like that movie.

12. What movie gives you a boner (or makes you tingle)?
Uh… I don't know. I've never thought about it. I'm sure that it's happened, but don't ask me when.

13. What movie always makes you cry like the big puss you are?
I've never cried over a movie in my life. The closest I've ever come was over Disney's Brother Bear. That is one of the best animated films ever and I don't understand why it is largely ignored.

14. What's the furthest you've ever gotten in a movie theater? (i.e, second base...)
I'm odd. I go to the theater to watch a movie, not make out.

15. Speaking of sports metaphors, what's your favorite sports movie?
I just checked my movie collection and the closest thing to a sports movie I own in Finding Forester (the teenager does play basketball). If that doesn't count, Might Ducks was the first thing that popped into my head.

16. (a) Favorite... teen movie?
10 Things I Hate About You

(b)...Quentin Tarantino movie?
I've never seen one.

(c)...Bill Murray movie?
I don't know. Maybe Ghostbusters

(d)...romantic comedy?
I love so many but Ever After or Keeping the Faith would probably win (see question 1)

(e)...gangster movie?

(f)...horror movie?
I HATE Horror Movies!!

(g)...made for TV movie?
I'm not sure. The first two I thought of were actually mini-series not movies, I think. They were Merlin and The Tenth Kingdom for the curious.

Steven Spielberg

(i)...drug movie?
I don't know. From everything I've heard, I'm sure it will be Tainspotting if I ever get off my butt and actually see that movie.

17. What movie have you seen already but will never, ever, ever watch again?
Any horror movie I've ever been forced to sit through. Pet Cemetary was the first one that popped to mind.

18. What movie are you embarrassed to really like?
I can't say I'm overly embarrassed about my movies. If I like something, I don't care what everyone else thinks.

19. What movie should be remade asap?
I don't know. I honestly can't think of anything that I think would be significantly improved if remade. Not realistically anyway.

20. What the F happened to (insert answer)? He used to be so damn funny!
I don't know. I can't think of anyone. Though last night some of my friends and I were discussing the Bill Murray comedian we knew versus the recent Bill Murray doing more serious Indie films and the generation gap perception that might create surrounding him.

21. For the love of everything that's sacred, please someone stop (insert answer) from making another movie!
I think everyone has at least one redeeming movie and might therefore be able to come p with another but I'm doubtful on that about Tom Cruise and Eddie Murphy except when he is doing the voice of Donkey in Shrek.

22. What movie do all your friends love but you think is whatevs?
Practically anything based on a novel by Jane Austen (exception being the Colin Firth Pride and Prejudice but that's not technically a movie)

23. What movie do you love but all your friends think is whatevs?
There are probably lots of options but I'll go completely random and say the remake of Ocean's Eleven

24. If you could hump/date/marry any movie character, who would it be?
Indiana Jones. Younger version.

25. Best...movie....ever?
You cannot possibly expect me to pick one.

26. Book you wish would be made into a movie, and who would direct it?
The DragonCrown War cycle by Michael Stackpole and I don't know.

Ed Norton is really adorable in Keeping the Faith. I'd watch that movie just for him.

I so love him in that movie. Then I remember that he directed it, too, and I love him even more.

You've never seen a Tarentino film? Really?

I miss Ghostbusters Bill Murray. I like his indie stuff, but... I miss the humour

I'm pretty sure I've never seen a Tarentino film. I can't think of any that I've seen.
