What a day :-)

Tags: , ,
Thus far today I've...

-Had breakfast.

-Gone to Busch Gardens (large amusement park about 10-15 minutes from my apartment) and rode eight roller coasters. Well, I rode four different roller coasters for a combined total of eight times (three, two, two, and one for curious parties).

-Gone to the theater and seen Indy IV. Please don't ask how many times this is that I've seen it. The answer is kind of embarrassing.

-Gone to the bookstore and bought the new Roma Sub Rosa book (wonderful series of mysteries set in ancient Rome by Steven Saylor).

It is now time for lunch. The afternoon and evening agendas include, but are not limited to, reading the new novel, working on Indy icons, and fanfic. Going back to work in two weeks is going to royally suck!
Feeling: Energetic
Exploring: Desk
Listening: Nothing right now but Raiders if I start iconing

LOL I would have been surprised if you hadn't seen it again over the weekend. ;)

I've basically gone every-other day. I really need to start weaning myself. Maybe I can make it to every third day.

When we got together to watch Last Crusade on Saturday evening, I mentioned to the gang here that I'd fallen madly in love with IV and seen it an insane number of times. They mostly said they'd been thinking about it and want to see it again so we're going to do at least one more group outing. Yay! We're waiting for one guy to get back into town, I think.

The new Roma Sub Rosa book is out!? I totally thought it was coming out later. Have you started reading it? Is it good? I guess I need to get myself to a bookstore and find that thing.

I thought it was coming out in June. I realized today that it now is June so I decided to pop into the bookstore across from the movie theater to check the computer system to find out the exact release date. I figured it would be out at the end of the month, so I was quite surprised when it came up as "in stock." I'd already decided that if you hadn't replied to this post by the end of today I was going to shoot you an email to make sure you knew it is out ;)

Thus far I've only read the first chapter and it was lame. Lots of exposition to remind us of what happened in the last book and where we are in history. I fully expect it to get better since the chapter ended with Gordianus examining a dead body.

Always a good surprise to find out that a book is out before you thought it would be!

Sucks that the first chapter was lame, but with a dead body it's got to get better. I adored the last book, so I'm hoping this one turns out to be just as awesome.

You did all that BEFORE lunch? Damn.

I've always wanted to do Busch Gardens but I think my body has, unfortunately, passed the point of no return in regards to riding Rollers Coasters. I may try to get to Magic Mountain this summer and see if I can do some of the more extreme ones without blacking out! It's so sucks getting older!

I saw Indy twice on opening weekend and would love to catch it a couple more times. I loved it.

It was an admittedly late lunch (around 2:30 or 3:00).

I love roller coasters so much. If I ever get to where I can't ride them, I'll be very broken hearted.

I only thought it was OK the first time I saw it. Then I rewatched Raiders and Temple and started thinking about it in direct connection to them and decided it might be a better Indy movie than I had thought at first. So I went back to see it again and fell madly in love with it and haven't been able to stop going to see it since. It's kind of sad really.
