Happy meme

Ganked from mrstater. Does it count as a gank if she tagged me and then ordered me in IM to do it? ;)

The rules are easy, just post six things that recently made you happy! Then tag 6 people and have them post this meme on their LJs. Because it is good. Everyone needs a little happiness once in a while.

  1. Going to Baltimore to spend the day with Julia, my roommate from my first year at Williamsburg. We always have a great time together and I miss hanging out with her

  2. My sister surprise sending me the Disney World exclusive Star Wars Mr. Potato Heads.

  3. The Guy Fawkes party which had to be one of the best parties the history department has had in a very long time.

  4. Getting to know Dave. Now if only I weren't so confused about it all.

  5. Essentially finishing my syllabus. That is a HUGE weight off my back.

  6. Getting the cold weather gloves and other gear so I can ride my motorcycle again without freezing to death.

I've no idea who has been tagged already other than the ones mrstater tagged so I won't tag any of the ones she did. So let's see...

jdbracknell, gijane7702, littlepixiechic, bratanimus, blackunicorn777, and cuteej4.

Nope, it doesn't count as gank.

I think people who have parties like Guy Fawkes parties are cool. It's just nice to celebrate odd holidays that aren't really a part of your own culture.

Once we tried coming up with a list of themed parties we were going to do. Some were random holidays from around the world and some were things like "Come dressed as your favorite breakfast food." We're an odd bunch but in our defense, we've never really done any of them. We just talk big.

A couple friends and I used to have Narnia parties. We would cook out of a Narnia cookbook and watch all the BBC films back to back and read from the books while we were cooking. But I'm not sure if it really counts as parties since there were only four of us.

Sounds like a party to me.

I've had three or so Harry Potter parties.
