My sister got married!!

Everyone survived the wedding weekend. There were a few rough spots and close calls, mixed in with lots of good bits and way too much food, but everyone survived.

If you guys want a full wedding report, I can give you one, but I don't want to bore you with tons of stuff if you aren't really interested. I suspect that there is at least slight interest in pictures so I'll go ahead and give you some of those. We obviously don't have anything yet from the official photographer or the disposal cameras set out for the guests at the reception. All I've got right now are a few shots from the getting ready process taking place back in the bridal room.

Click the pic of my sister and me to go to the flickr page and from there click any of the four photos for bigger versions.

So pretty! That purple's a great color on you. The bouquets are really pretty, too!

Thanks! My Aunt Becky made all the floral arrangements and then ended up not able to attend the wedding due to last minute stuff. It really stank.

Aw, that sucks she didn't make it!
bratty_jedi at 10:18 pm on 21 October 2007 (UTC) (Link)
Yeah. I was more disappointed about her and my grandparents on that side of the family not making it than anything else.

You're all so pretty! I never realized that you and your sister look so much alike! Your mom looks great in that picture too. Glad everyone made it through the big day:)

I never realized that you and your sister look so much alike!

There is certainly no denying we're related.

Survival seemed to be open for debate at some points, but we did make it. Now I want to sleep for about a year.

You look lovely! I love your dress, such a pretty colour, and the flowers are beautiful.

Did you have a good day?
bratty_jedi at 12:46 am on 22 October 2007 (UTC) (Link)
Thanks! I'm pleased with the dress. It was the color more than anything that drew my sister to it and it is nice enough I can wear it again should a formal opportunity ever present itself.

Overall it was a good day. Between the rehearsal stuff Friday and the actual wedding stuff Saturday, there were lots of little problems that popped up but only two major disaster type moments and we got through those.

Lovely! Your dress is gorgeous and so are the flowers. Your sister's dress looks to have a really long train on it? And, no, you don't look like twins, though there's a definite family resemblance between you all!

Glad you survived it all - I think that's the main thing to do at weddings. ;)

Survival was certainly my top priority. That and standing around looking cute but making sure she was cuter. She had a very long train. Every time she moved, I had to adjust and fix it. Luckily it was designed to bustle very easily for the reception.

I don't think we look that much alike but tons of people ask if we're twins or mistake one of us for the other. It's been happening ever since I was 13. Back then, I absolutely loved being told I looked like my 16 year old sister. My sister, on the other hand, didn't so much appreciate being told she looked like her 13 year old sister.

Oh, you look lovely, and I can see why people mistake you for twins.

I hope you all had a nice day :).
bratty_jedi at 2:13 pm on 22 October 2007 (UTC) (Link)
Thanks. We do look somewhat alike, but I don't see that much of a resemblance.

Overall it was a nice day: only a few fights, only one pool of blood, a short and sweet ceremony, and a nice reception with plenty of food.

I saw the pic on ladybracknells page, and thought "oh, brattyjedi has a twin sister!"

Then I clicked on the pic to make it bigger (because I'm nosy), then you don't look quite the same - but the genetics are still coming through :)

You look lovely in the purple :)

Yep, we are most certainly related. It is kind of funny because ever since we were little, if we'd go to Dad's work, everyone there would see us and say "Oh, you have to be Robin's daughters because you look just like him!" Then we'd go to Mom's work and everyone would say "Oh, you have to be Lorraine's daughters because you look just like her!" For the record, my parents don't really look alike. I guess Katrina and I are just really good blends of both our parents.

Thanks so much!

All three of you look absolutely lovely. I'm glad it went well. I hope your sister enjoyed her big day!
