Go Me!

Tags:
As I mentioned when I posted pictures of my butt in my new jeans, back in March I decided I wanted to get to 125 pounds by the time I went to Hawaii, which meant losing over 25 pounds. I leave for Texas a week from yesterday and from there to Hawaii a week from tomorrow. The scale read 124.8 this morning.

For anyone interested, I'd say the big things that did it for me were:
1) Going to the gym or running/walking outside at least 5 days a week
2) Lots of fresh fruit, especially watermelon and mangoes now that watermelon are starting to go out of season, sometimes covered in jello pudding :)
3) 8/16 or from the moment you take your first bite of food on any given day until you take your last is at most 8 hours so you are fasting 16 hours every day
4) Eating bread, potatoes, and other high starch / high carb things only every two or three days
Accomplished
Feeling: Accomplished

That's great, congratulations! :)

Without currently being on a diet (hence my larger pant size after winter, probably, AHEM), I tend to do more like 12/12. I eat breakfast at seven am and I'm usually done eating for the night by seven pm. If I didn't eat anything after 3 pm, though, I'd probably be awake half the night suffering from night starvation, heh. And grumpy. Kudos to you if you made it through the weight loss with a good attitude!

Have an amazing trip, by the way! And take photos if you can; Hawaii is a place I've always wanted to see.

Thanks!

I push back eating breakfast so I can eat later into the evening and still do 8/16. I get up c. 6:30 or 7 but often don't eat anything until 9 or 10. I'll have tea before that, though. Even that way, I often don't eat anything after 3 or 4 pm. I'm just not as hungry in the evenings or at least find the hunger easier to ignore than in the middle of the day.

I'll definitely take lots of photos in Hawaii!
