Calling all Chalion Fans

Tags:
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to convince me to read The Curse of Chalion this weekend. I checked this book out from the library close to two months ago. I have had it so long that I've had to renew it multiple times and am out of renewals. Next time it comes due, I have to return it whether I've read it or not. I have checked out, read, and returned multiple other books since I first got this one. Most importantly, I have no idea why I haven't read it. Lots of the flisters, people whose judgments I trust and who I know have excellent (read similar to me) taste in books, have loved this book and recommended it to me in the highest terms. It sounds like a fantastic book that I will enjoy. I just don't seem to have any interest in actually reading it for absolutely no apparent reason. It sits in one of the cubbies on my headboard staring at me. Every time I finish a book I look at it on the bottom of the stack from the library and think, "I really should read that one next," and every time I pick something different because I just don't feel like reading it. So convince me already. Why, specifically, should I read this book this weekend?

You should read it so that I can read your review/rating of it on GoodReads and decide whether or not I should reader it (other then the glowing reviews from mrstater, gilpin25, and shimotsuki of course)

:)

If all the others haven't convinced you, I'm not sure how I can. I guess we'll find out...

YOU SHOULD READ IT THIS WEEKEND BECAUSE CAZ IS AS SEXY AS REMUS AND YOU WILL FINISH READING IT AND WONDER WHY YOU DIDN'T DO IT SOONER. AND BECAUSE I AM WRITING THIS IN CAPSLOCK!

FINE! I'LL READ IT, BUT ONLY IF YOU PROMISE THE ENTIRE BOOK ISN'T WRITTEN IN CAPSLOCK WITH TOO MANY EXCLAMATION MARKS!!

You love Remus? You'll love Caz. All I can say is that as soon as I finished, I started reading it again. So, do it! You won't be sorry.

Should I wait to read this until I have the sequel in my hands so that I can keep reading rather than rereading this one?

Don't read it.

I am trying reverse psychology.

I *just* finished it yesterday. Read it. It's fantastic. I couldn't put it down. I wanted to read it every second of the day. I highly encourage it.

I started it during my nice hot bath. Perhaps that was a mistake. I guess we'll see if I go to bed tonight or stay up reading.
