I has a dilemma

I have some yummy and not horribly unhealthy caramel apple dip. I want to eat an apple with yummy caramel sauce on it. Problem: I had an apple yesterday and I've had an upset stomach most of the day; I think the two are connected. I could peel the apple - it's the peels that cause the problems for my Crohn's - but the caramel doesn't stick very well to the apple itself.

Decisions, decisions, decisions.

EDIT: I've decided to peel the apple and hope for the best on the caramel sticking. Unfortunately, health is more important than yumminess.

I think that just means you'll have to put extra caramel on it to make sure you get enough.

While you've probably already eaten the apple by now, I thought I'd mention, in the interests of future caramel apple scoffing, that the kids I used to babysit also had problems with fibrous fruits so one of their treats was to peel an apple, dip in melted chocolate, leave it for a moment to set, and then dip it in caramel. Possible overkill - and would definitely lessen the health factor, but popular. :)

That does sound a bit like overkill, but I might give it a shot sometime when I feel a need for a sugar buzz. Thanks for the suggestion.
