The "missing" football discussion

Tags:
For those who don't know, in my post on the Amazon contest, several of the flisters and I got into a discussion regarding Muggle sports and Wizards, specifically whether British Wizards play things like football (soccer). Three or four of us could remember a scene in which something was said about Ron not understanding how Dean or anyone else could like a game with only one ball or no brooms or something like that, but we couldn't remember when in the thousands of pages comprising the entire Harry Potter saga this scene might have occurred. We all knew exactly where in Stone to look for Ron trying to make Dean's poster of football players move, but couldn't manage to remember where the mystery scene might be.

littlepixiechic is awesome and she found the missing scene! It, um, well, was never missing. It's the same scene as the poster scene. From chapter 9 of Stone (pg. 144 in the US hardback):
Ron had already had a big argument with Dean Thomas, who shared their dormitory, about soccer. Ron couldn't see what was so exciting about a game with only one ball where no one was allowed to fly. Harry had caught Ron prodding Dean's poster of West Ham soccer team, trying to make the players move.
If we'd all just stopped trying to pick our own brains for the answer and looked at the source for a minute, we had the solution all along. Thanks, Julia, for finding it and solving the mystery!

Of course we're crazy about other things, but it is nice to have one mystery solvered.

Hey, I figured there had to be something semi-productive I could do this morning while getting ready for work!
