The rules are easy, just post 10 things that recently made you happy! Then tag 10 people and force them to post this meme on their LJs. Because it is good. Everyone needs a little happiness once in a while.

  1. Dinner with Kathy. Much like I already mentioned about spending time with Daniel and Aaron, two of my best friends from college, spending time with Kathy, my best friend from high school, is something I don't get to do anywhere near as often as I would like so I cherish every moment. I even cherish the moments we spent waiting in the parking lot on Tuesday night waiting for my dad to come put the spare tire on my sister's vehicle because there was a large metal wire sticking out of the old one.

  2. Coming back to Williamsburg. I love my family and love spending time with them, but there is also a certain joy about getting back to my own place and my routine.

  3. Getting back to my apartment to discover that the owners decided to install a new water heater and digital central cooling and heating unit while I was away. There wasn't anything wrong, per se, with the old ones, but they work so much better now.

  4. My two new t-shirts from threadless. I was really tempted by I Hate Packing, but I ultimately settled on Spoilt and Everyone Poops. They were waiting for me when I got back to my apartment. I tried them on and I think I look adorable in them, if I do say so myself.

  5. My roommate giving me a Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix Wii game. She sort of has a Wii that I'll be able to use to play it. It is her Wii but currently at her boyfriend's so it won't distract her too much while she's studying for comps. It will be moving in here permanently when she's done in March. I can't wait to start waving a little Wii-mote all over the place and having a wand cast magic spells on my TV in response.

  6. Getting everything unpacked and mostly put away on the same day I got back into town. Not only does that mean I'm getting organized again, but also that I have luggage to unpack and the airline didn't misplace anything.

  7. Listening to an audio dramatization of King Lear and suddenly realizing that the reason the voice of the character I like the best sounds so familiar is because Edgar is played by David Tennant. Since I've never seen Doctor Who, that didn't mean a lot to me personally, but I like things that randomly make me think of my friends.

  8. Getting some records from my mom on her family history since I've always known quite a bit about my dad's side but nothing about my mom's.

  9. Beating my dad at Scrabble for possibly the first time in my life. All the practice I've been getting in on Facebook must be paying off.

  10. Drive-through fast food. After staying up until midnight to pack and then getting up at 4:15 to get to the airport to fly back to Williamsburg, the idea of shopping for food and cooking on top of unpacking was way too much. Fast food FTW!

Now to tag 10 people and then to bed for me: cuteej4, drumher, godricgal, littlepixiechic, sandykidd, vivnow, gijane7702, blackunicorn777, molly_coddles, and lady_katvic.
